Here’s a video from Mat’s pass up to Joseph & Camden,
Camden crosses it to Micah,
Micah gets tackled,
Jesus gets it back and pokes it back to Micah who had gotten back up,
Micah blasts it into the crossbar,
Camden gets the rebound with his head,
and the goalie catches Cam’s header… UGH!!! Guess they can’t all go in…

Here’s Mat’s goal on the indirect kick.
He told me that because it was right at the top of the box, he didn’t want to risk hitting the wall or another defender with a hard shot, so he gently chipped it up & over the wall and the goalie:

Here’s one of Jesus’s great goals:
Jesus gets the ball at midfield and passes it to Cam,
Cam takes it up the field and fights off his defender so he can get in a cross,
Jesus gets the cross, and pokes it past the goalie into the far corner. GOOOOOOOOOOOAL!!

The only games the boys have lost were when the entire roster wasn’t there.
When the team had the full roster, they’ve won or tied every game (and only 1 tie!).

The boys play really well as a team!
When they are missing teammates … well, it’s a lot harder on the boys who are there.

The 2nd half was AMAZING — the boys really turned on the heat, but that ball just couldn’t find the net. The un-called hand-ball by the Matix defender at the goal line was frustrating, but the boys kept on battling until the final whistle!
